How many LIT spots are available? Is there a minimum session enrollment?
Each session has 18 open enrollment spots for Leaders in Training. The LIT Program requires a camper to be enrolled for a 4 week or 2 session minimum.
-
What if my teen can only do 2 or 3 weeks this summer?
While our minimum session length for the LIT program is 4 weeks, we would welcome your camper as a 9th Grade senior! This program is an excellent option for teens with full summer schedules. Time with friends, four electives, special activities, and all the great Everwood vibes remain the cornerstone of our Senior Camp experience. There is still so much to love about being a 9th grader at Everwood, even without participating in the LIT Program!
-
What qualities does a successful LIT candidate embody?
Successful applicants are responsible, open to feedback, and ready to step outside their comfort zone. They should have personal interest and are internally motivated to participate and succeed in the program.
-
How many community-service hours can a camper expect to earn?
Campers can earn anywhere from 5–30 hours of community service hours based on how many weeks they enroll in the LIT program, as well as which weeks they are present for, as some weeks are more skills than service. Certification is available in the form of a written document from the Teen Program Coordinator that explains how many community service hours were completed and what kinds of projects counted.
-
Is there an additional cost for the LIT program?
No, the LIT program is the same cost as the 9th grade seniors option.
-
What is the application deadline and when will decisions be made?
Applications are open on a rolling basis until enrollment is full. Individual decisions will be made promptly upon receipt of application
