CIT Program

The Counselor in Training (CIT) program at Everwood Day Camp offers new dimensions of leadership training through hands-on, experience-based skill-building!

CITs spend part of each day with younger campers, making a lasting impression on the camp community as present, engaged role models. Whether it’s their first, third, or fifteenth year at camp the CIT program allows campers the opportunity to experience camp in a whole new way; through the eyes of younger campers!

Daily skill and service sessions prepare CITs for their time spent in internship groups while participation in job-readiness workshops further develop CITs professional portfolios!

Through sharing touching moments with younger campers and impactful skill building sessions your teens will walk away from their summer as a Counselor in Training with a newfound sense of pride and accomplishment!

While contributing to community initiatives, CITs will also participate in rewarding programming such as cooking competitions, a CIT Senior Prank, Counselor ‘Dress to Impress’, and a 500 meter swim across our bay on Lake Massapoag!

Counselors in Training will earn community service hours and will also be eligible for the Greatest of All Time Teen (GOATT) award. While blending fun, hands on leadership development, and community recognition the CIT Program prepares campers to return the following year as AWESOME counselors!
